I had the tremendous opportunity to spend almost a decade leading a talented team of developers, business analysts, and project managers. What started out as three work friends hacking away on VBA enabled spreadsheets quickly escalated into an old dev box sitting on the floor of my office running IIS and TFS to support WPF application development. My journey at C|A culminated leading an effort to overhaul the data collection and processing efforts for all of the firm's enterprise data replacing existing applications with a distributed system powered by RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, MS SQL Server, and ASP.NET WebApi.
I built many things during my time at C|A. But, the one thing I developed during my time there that I will always be most proud of isn't a piece of software, it's the the amazing individuals that made my team feel like a family.
